Lice Happens...
Sleepovers, camps, school - you name it! Lice can easily spread, commonly from head-to-head contact and sharing personal items, so make sure you're prepared with Nix® to get your child’s hair lice free.

How to check for lice
1) Use a bright light to examine each family members head for lice (they may be hard to spot because lice avoid light!). 2) Look for tiny nits (which look like sesame seeds) near scalp beginning at back of neck and behind ears. 3) Watch for movement. 4) Examine small sections of hair at a time. 5) It is important to check all family members.

Apply the Nix® Ultra All-in-One Shampoo to dry hair, making sure the hair is saturated especially close to the scalp. Avoid contact with the eyes.

Let it sit on the hair for 10 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water thoroughly until the hair is rinsed clean.
If using the Nix® Ultra Lice Treatment Solution, you’ll need to shampoo the hair afterwards, with a shampoo that doesn’t contain conditioner.

Carefully remove remaining lice from hair using the included comb; be sure to wipe lice and nits off the comb and onto a tissue and discard.

Next, you’ll want to make sure there aren’t any lice lingering in your home. Wash all bedding, hats, clothing and stuffed animals. Use the Nix® Lice Killing Spray on items that cannot be washed in hot water, such as furniture, carpets and car seats.

After the lice are gone, here’s a few tips to keep lice away: use the Nix® Lice Prevention Spray, keep your child’s hair up and tight, and make sure to avoid sharing hats, combs and towels.
